Next tasting Incoming...
Next week brings with it another tasting event at our Leeds shop. This time we're focussing on a part of France that is close to our hearts - the Loire. Location of many a salon-marathon, vineyard hunt and late night or two over the years, it was also from the heart of this region that we first started to ship wine of our own as Wayward Imports.
With that in mind, we'll be focussing on the central part of the valley, the Middle Loire, taking in wine from producers in and around Saumur, Bourgueil and Touraine, seeing how grapes like Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay & Cabernet Franc behave when grown in these limestone-rich terroirs.
The date for your diary is Thursday 21st March. As usual, our shop tastings are free to attend, and it’s a drop-in style affair. Call by any time from 5pm, grab a glass and get involved. Everything in the tasting will be available by the glass for the evening, plus a few bottles from the cellar we've dusted off for the night too.
