Our Next Tasting at the Shop

The events are coming thick and fast at the moment - our next free-to-join tasting at the shop in Chapel Allerton is up next week, on Thursday 11th May.

After the success of our recent ‘Orange Wine Odyssey’, and with the seasons finally feeling like they’re moving in the right direction, we thought we’d keep the colour-based focus and highlight an interzone category of wine we never fail to start reaching for at this time of year - those deeply pink and light, juicy reds best thrown on ice and drunk perfectly chilled.

Unbelievably, we still find that the idea of drinking a red wine from the fridge is an alien concept to many; we’ll be selecting a line-up that are built for just that. What makes a red wine suitable for this sort of atypical treatment? Come and find out. Spoiler alert: there will be not a blush Provençal in sight, instead we’ll be looking at an assortment of otherly rosé & rosato with a little more flesh on their bones, showing the dynamic range the style has to offer.

Like the sound of it? Then this dégustation is the one for you. As usual, the tasting is informal, free to attend and will run from 5-10pm - drop in at any time and we’ll run you through the line-up. Stick around for a glass or two afterwards and enjoy a discount on the featured wines to take home (and put in the fridge) on the night once you have discovered your new favourite chiller.
