Grape – Sylvaner

Anders Frederik Steen
Comme un Double-Vitrage 2020

This oxidative rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner and Muscat. A fascinating wine that in both perfume and structure, sits somewhere between white and red, with complex notes of red berries, dry spices and rose framed by faint tannins and a long, lingering saltiness. Find out more.

Raphaël Beysang & Émélie Hurtubise
J'aime JM 2022 LITRE

This is a blend of their own Gamay with grapes from the Alsace, this time we have Sylvaner & Pinot Blanc joining the party, with everything being macerated together in whole bunches for a week before ageing in foudre barrel. It's a luminous, lifted wine; the white grapes giving a lovely aromatic aspect floating over all the crunchy red fruits. A chiller. Find out more.

Domaine Bohn
L'Indigène 2021

L'Indigène is one of Bohn's more experimental cuvées and uses what is often perceived as a lesser grape of the region, Sylvaner, to great effect. Reminiscent of some the macerations with Pinot Gris from the Alsace, it has a similar peachy tint to it, as well as a tea-like quality. Find out more.
