Abreuver is always made with Gamay from Daniel's own vines in Bogy. Another hot vintage there has produced a wine with some fire in its belly, but with the gentle touch a la Sage, balance is still present. Pure, granitic Gamay that serves as a distinctive expression of the grape. Find out more.

Ardèche Pinot Noir, here the grapes come from the vineyards of Les Deux Terres in the south. Owing to the warm vintage the fruit is as ripe and brimming as you'd expect, but still with those ever-present lifted aromatics that we associate with Daniel's wine. Find out more.

This is Pinot Noir from some of Patrick's oldest vines which are planted over volcanic soils of Basalt, with a splash of Chardonnay. Luminous, fine-grained and electric. Find out more.

Made over the same base wine you'll find in her other cuvée, Acquex, here lifted with a blend of ripe, textural Roussanne in the mix. This brings the addition of some peachy stone fruit to all the red berries of the Cinsault. As if often the case when blending white grapes with red, there is a fluid, luminous quality to the wine. This is resolutely a red wine, despite 50% of the grapes being white, such is the influence of the Syrah. The Chardonnay and Viognier keep things delightfully silky and fluid, but the red grape provides a huge aromatic lift, that somehow seems to carry itself through into the palate, which is dense with dark blackcurrant fruits and juicy, saline black olive. Hampshire Lambrusco? No, not something we thought we'd find ourselves writing either - but here we are! Offbeat embrace the experimental, so there is little to compare this too, but keep the Lambrusco reference in mind - it has that tart, freshly-picked bramble berry feel, with keen acids, so one could enjoy it in much the same way.
