We love a red/white blend, it brings the best of both worlds. With notes of cherries and red fruits coming from the Pinot Noir, the wine is lifted with aromatic yellow fruits and freshness from the Pinot Gris. Find out more.
Je Suis au Jardin is a wonderful example of what happens when aromatic Muscat is treated with a light touch. Made with grapes planted on clay, limestone and sandstone from a parcel in Mutzig, the grapes were directly-pressed into stainless steel tanks where the wine remained for fermentation and élevage. On the nose you’ll find expressive notes of tangerine and white flowers, whilst the palate delivers something completely different. The floral notes are dialled right down and sit in the background, something we don’t often see with this highly aromatic grape. This is a much more delicate side of Muscat, with a focus on bright citrus fruits, spice and freshness. The fruit core of the wine is balanced with a fresh line of acidity and well-integrated herbal bitterness, ensuring that the wine drinks with complete ease.
The Lindenlaub family has a long history in the town of Dorlisheim, having made wine in the region for over 200 years. Today the work is led by Christophe, who has forged a new path for the domaine with the goal to produce high quality wines which truly reflect the land from which they come.
The vineyards consist mainly of clay and limestone soil, some with a sandstone sub-layer, with vines mostly aged between 30 and 60 years. With the aim to work with the utmost respect to nature, Christophe embraced organic farming in 2009 and achieved certification in 2012. Beyond growing healthy organic grapes, Christophe moved away from any chemical interventions in the cellar and is now producing some of the most standout zero-addition wines in the region. For the most part, Christophe uses stainless steel for élevage in order to further define the freshness and precision in the wines. The wines are lively, pure and brimming with energy. They have their own unique character, with Christophe’s trademark zing of acidity and backbone of saline minerality.
