Bright and refreshing pet-nat of 100% Mauzac. The nose is filled with beautiful exotic fruits, white flowers, peach and apples. The palate is well balanced with rich, fruity complexity complimented by soft pinprick bubbles and a lively acidity. Perfectly delicious.
After experiencing some losses in the vineyard during a challenging 2021, Seb sought grapes from friends around Beaujolais and further afield in South-West France. The grapes in Voyage À Deux were sourced from 40-year-old vines planted on clay and limestone in Carcassonne. The grapes were hand-harvested before a 6-hour direct press. The juice saw 1 month of fermentation in cuve before finishing its ferment in bottle and was then disgorged one year later. The resulting wine shows a more elegant side of pet-nat, with richness and freshness working together in harmony.
